CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order by Ana Chirino, President, at 8:40 A.M. ADOPTION OF AGENDA A motion to adopt the agenda as written was made by Mike Rappaport, Vice President and seconded by Ana Chirino, President. APPROVAL OF MINUTES A motion to approve the minutes from the meeting held March 10, 2008, was made by Mike Rappaport, Vice President and seconded by Ana Chirino, President. REVIEW OF FEBRUARY AND MARCH FINANCIAL STATEMENTS A review of the February and March Financial Statements cleared up any questions about January 31, 2008 Financial Statements showing double postings in error. All accounts trued up. UNFINISHED BUSINESS A. Questions from January 31, 2008 statement (Lawn, Insurance, Abatement) cleared up with February and March statements. B. Per previous instructions from Board, Nancy Lee to arrange installation of pond fountain with American Ecosystems but verify that fountain is Kasco and only if light kit is $1000.00. C. Pond maintenance by American Ecosystems to begin May 1, 2008 at $160.00 per month. D. Determination that only one notice of intent had been received for upcoming Board election meeting to be held on May 22, 2008. E. Copies of e-mails to and from attorneys regarding improper planting of oak trees provided to Board by Nancy Lee. F. Lawn issues to be addressed to Genie Lawn Care: Mulching, abatement 6935 Green Heron, chinch bug treatment, pump, recouping abatement charges, resodding front of property, trimming up outside of fence on south side of property. G. M/I has moved dumpsters. H. Bids not yet received for fencing to the right of Boyette Oaks sign. I. Playground discussion whether to go to expense of having a common playground for all or just letting each family get their own. J. Mo Newman (treasurer/secretary) not heard from by anyone. Board can remove him and appoint replacement. NEW BUSINESS A. Prior to authorizing foreclosure on Fidalgo, verify that he has received prior notices (certified return receipt). If not, have attorney search for other addresses. Same instructions on Rojas. B. Prior to this meeting, the Board and Nancy Lee met with Arborist Wayne Smith for an assessment of the dead and dying trees in the community and he advised that even though his opinion is that the trees were improperly planted (the straps and wire baskets should have been removed from the top 10” of the root ball to allow the roots to move into the soil, and the trees should have been planted at least 2” higher than grade with an earthen dam formed around the root ball to retain water after they were planted) but that he would not recommend going through the attorney to resolve the issue. His suggestion was remedial tree care and a nice letter to M/I Industries owner, Sally Walker Guthrie asking for her influence with M/I homes to ask their assistance in this remedial care. C. Discussed replacing Mo Newman with David Simpson D. Lawn on several properties 29803 and 29753 Cedar Waxwing particularly E.
